DESCRIPTION:https://canscaip.org/event-558146\n\nPerformers Night with Dan Yashinsky!\n \n Please note that the start time for the meeting has changed to 7:00 p.m.\n     \n Join Dan Yashinsky\, storyteller and performer\, as he tells us about the 1001 Nights of Storytelling that takes place every Friday night in Toronto. He will also share his process of creating and preparing to tell stories.\n Dan Yashinsky is a storyteller and the author of Suddenly They Heard Footsteps - Storytelling for the Twenty-first Century. This book received the 2007 Ann Izard Storytellers' Choice Award. He founded the Toronto Storytelling Festival and 1001 Friday Nights of Storytelling\, and co-founded (with Lisa Pijuan-Nomura) F.O.O.L - festival of oral literatures. In l999 he received the Jane Jacobs Prize for his work with storytelling in the community. He is currently working on a collection of stories and essays titled Talking You In - a storyteller's logbook.
