Born: May 7. Winnipeg, Manitoba
Married to Peter, daughters Esther and Taryn

Gail is a storyteller, author, teacher and librarian. Gail teaches four courses for the University of Alberta: Storytelling; Canadian Children's Literature for Young People in Schools and Libraries (offered as a distance education course on the Internet), Young Adult Literature for Middle School Students and graphic novels and comic books and their role in schools and libraries. She also teaches this course (with a Canadian flavour) at San Jose State University in their School of Library and Information Studies.

She conducts workshops and tells stories at festivals across North America and is resident storyteller at Fort Edmonton Park bringing history alive through story.
