Bio
Allan Peterkin is the author of several books on unusual topics for adults like the history of beards and moustaches and why we shouldn't use cuss words yet we do.
He is also the author of several best-selling picture books for kids.
His latest book "The Flyaway Blanket" (Magination Press 2012) just won a Mom's Choice Gold Medal in the US.
The book before that called "CHILL" (KidsCan Press) was about why and how people decorate their refrigerators.(Don't laugh-have you ever encountered a fridge with nothing on it?)
He also is a founding editor of a literary magazine called ARS MEDICA (see www.ars-medica.ca) which publishes poetry, fiction and art work from both adults and children on issues related to illness and healing.
