Biography

The best gift her mother ever gave Wilma Alexander was 5 cents to join the public library. She has been hooked on books ever since. As a teacher and an avid reader, she tried to instill a love of books in her students and her family. Becoming a teacher librarian opened up another possibility- becoming an author. Handling hundreds of childrens books spurred her on to try writing one herself. She did and now has published short stories and five books with a sixth in the offing. One of her short stories, A TIME TO BE BRAVE , was made into a tv movie and aired on CBC.
