Biography

David Allen grew up in Cheltenham, England and at 18 years of age emigrated to Canada in 1966. He lives in Toronto and has a varied career as a professional photographer. He has taken photographs for design companies, magazines, corporate annual reports, CD covers and packaging design. "I always found myself getting curious and wanting to learn more about the subjects I was photographing", he said recently. That curiosity, along with his life long enjoyment of presenting and entertaining have put David naturally into his most recent venture, GUESS WHAT? shows, a series of thematic slide shows suitable for primary grade school children. So far, David has developed six GUESS WHAT? shows that are unique, inter-active, educational and stimulate and entertain primary grade school children and during the past year he has persented GUESS WHAT? shows to over 1000 children in schools, museums, libraries and other venues in and around Toronto.
