CANSCAIP MembersCarol BibersteinIllustrator
273 Main St. N. Apt. #1
Born: May 14, 1955. Singapore. BiographyCarol has been drawing and painting and creating art all her life. She studied illustration at Sheridan College because she loves stories and dreamed of illustrating books, especially folktales and stories for children. Now many of her early dreams are coming true. Carol makes her living in different ways. She is a fixture at the Brampton Farmers' Market, commonly spoken of as the Bread Lady. The idea of making homemade bread came not out of a baking background, but from a painting. And she has been baking bread ever since, (over 100 loaves every Friday for the last eight and a half years.) The Farmers' Market gives Carol a forum to display her art, to get commissioned work and to sell her artwork. Carol is the creator of the Life Story Portrait. This is a montage of images that tell the story of a person's life. The Life Story Portrait has many posibilities. It can be commissioned as a retirement gift, a birthday gift, a Christmas or bar Mitzvah gift, or an anniversary gift. It can even be done of yourself. A life Story Portrait could also be done of a company, a school or a town. Carol also spends her time teaching water colour and drawing to adults. She teaches water colour, drawing, paper maché, and art from recycled objects to children.
