Biography

Vivien Bowers is the author of multi-award-winning information books including Crime Scene, Wow Canada!, Only in Canada!, That's Very Canadian! and Crazy About Canada! (Her next book will not be about Canada—promise!) She has also written In the Path of an Avalanche, for adults. In a past life she was a Grade 5 teacher, and she has also written textbooks and learning materials. Born in Vancouver, the second of four children, she now lives in the mountain town of Nelson, British Columbia. She's happiest in the wilderness hiking, canoeing or skiing. She's learning to sing in Italian. Vivien has two sons, now just about grown-up. Their warped sense of humour has snuck into all of her books.
