99 Krug Street
Born: July 20, 1946. Ottawa, Ontario BiographyPat has been reading ever since the local library opened its magic doors for her and writing since she was old enough to hold a crayon. Eventually she graduated to a manual typewriter and then an electric and now uses a computer, but the thrill of the story hasn't changed. After earning a BA in history at Carleton University (perhaps why her books usually have a deep back story), she took a degree in library science at the University of Toronto and worked in U of T libraries for nine years. Quitting to raise her son James, she also found more time to write. She writes what she loves to read: fantasy and speculative fiction with down-to-earth heroes. A few years ago Pat went back to school at Conestoga College, Kitchener, for a diploma in journalism, worked briefly for a local newspaper, and is now staff writer and editorial assistant in the Publications Office of the University of Waterloo. She is always either writing, revising, or planning a book.
