Biography

I was born in Toronto and now live in Winnipeg. Ever an avid reader of children's fantasy books, I draw together my many lives as an author, artist, anthropologist, university professor and mother of six. With a slight twist of my pen, I hope to snatch readers from Earthly Realms to Realms of Myth.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree (Classics) and Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto, and my Master's (Interdisciplinary Studies) and PhD (Anthropology) from York University. I am a professor in the Department of City Planning, Faculty of Architecture at the University of Manitoba. My writing spans children's fantasy novels and academic research publications.
