Biography

Peter was born in Winnipeg, but before he knew what was happening, he was whisked away to Mississauga and promptly raised there. He attended Queen's University and graduated with a B.A.H. in Biological Psychology. There he met Laura Suzuki, who later became his wife and co-author/co-illustrator, in that order.

Peter and Laura specialize in creating science books that describe complex topics through a harmony of pictures and words. Peter is a principal of the creative design firm Doodletronics, which specializes in both web and print design. Including this web site. He is also a freelance illustrator, doing editorial and technical work for magazines and textbooks (Addison-Wesley, Nelson, Gage, Scholastic) and some TV-related work too (Canadian Sacrilege Moments).
