#2-1588 Kerns Road BiographyRumour has it she was born with a pencil in her hand. At the age of two Patty was already practicing her drawing skills, on old grocery bags, newspapers, cardboard boxes, anything she could find. Creating is just something she has always done. Her professional career began as an award winning wildlife painter (Chrysler Search for Canadian Wildlife Artist Competition, Overall Best of Birds Div.) In 1987 The Oakville Beaver considered her solo landscape exhibit as one of the best shows for that year. Shortly after, seeking new skills and opportunities, Patty entered Sheridan College, Interpretive Design and Illustration Program. After graduating she spent a number of years as a book designer and then, with the arrival of her two children, returned to both her earliest and latest love, that of painting and illustrating children.
