Biography

Linda Granfield is the author of over twenty-five non-fiction titles for young readers and adults. A dual U.S./Canadian citizen, Granfield immigrated to Canada thirty-five years ago as a graduate student. Increasingly, her books are attracting adult readers. Her first non-fiction title for adults, Brass Buttons and Silver Horseshoes, was published in 2002.

A dual U.S./Canadian citizen, Granfield immigrated nearly thirty years ago as a graduate student and has been involved in the Canadian children's book field ever since. She's reviewed hundreds of books, interviewed authors and illustrators, and has been a conference speaker and freelance educational writer. Granfield has toured North America coast-to-coast, meeting her readers and presenting workshops dealing with history and research.
