3070 Baird Rd.
Born: November 21, 1968, Ottawa BiographyBorn in Ottawa in 1968, Scott enjoyed a perfectly conventional suburban childhood. At the age of twelve, he was transplanted to a small town in BC’s Okanagan Valley where he learned about cars and the beach. After imposing on the patience of the University of Victoria for several years, Scott turned his attentions to the world of fine art. In 1994, having been invited by the Alberta College of Art to complete his studies elsewhere, Scott decided he was sufficiently educated. He married his dream girl and moved to Vancouver to seek his fortune as an animator. After a few years toiling on the wild frontier of the World Wide Web, Scott discovered he could make a living creating pretend computer software for the movies. Some years later, his life much enriched by two perfect daughters and the ongoing if surprising devotion of his wife, Scott decided to put the days of easy money and free time behind him. He would try his hand at making books for children. Scott’s first book, Haley And Bix, Best Friends No Matter What, is loosely based on the weirder of his two daughters and her best friend.
