Biography

Sandi LeFaucheur writes historical fiction for young adults. Time spent working at a South London, England, primary school inspired her to write The Secret Shelter. "There was an air-raid shelter under the immaculate front lawn of the school," Sandi explains. "I longed to excavate it, but the headteacher wouldn't allow me to. The only way to find out what was down there was to write a book about it!"

Sandi, along with her husband and son, has since moved to Canada. She's written two other historical fiction novels, which she hopes will soon see the light of day.
