Biography

Ann Love and Jane Drake are sisters who form a writing team. Their books draw on a shared childhood steeped in family stories and natural history. After completing her M.A. at the University of Toronto, Ann became a founding member of Pollution Probe. In 1972, she and her husband moved to Yukon where they helped start the Carcross Community Education Center, an alternative high school. When they moved back to Ontario, children in tow, Ann and David settled on a forest edge northwest of Toronto. Not long afterwards, Ann and Jane joined forces to write non-fiction for kids. They keep returning to themes that that are a passion to them both -- fun and the environment.
