Biography

After growing up in Toronto, Anne lived in Sudbury, Yellowknife, Halifax and Burlington. She now makes her home in Calgary. Anne's interest in Canadian history was piqued when her daughter began studying the fur trade in school. The fact that the curriculum repeated itself three years in a row led to the writing of an article on the importance of teaching history and to her first novel, a juvenile historical fiction Terra Incognita. A part-time writer, Anne earns a living doing sales tax accounting for a manufacturing firm. She escapes the tedium of numbers through horseback riding, music and mystery novels. An enthusiastic but tone deaf singer, she compensates her family for the racket with her skill in the kitchen. Chocolate chip cookies are her specialty.
