Born: March 13,1956. Leeds, Yorkshire, England.
Married to Robert Horton. One son.

Biography

J.C. Mills was born in Yorkshire, England and emigrated to Canada as a young child. A sculptor and painter since 1980, she has had several solo exhibitions in Toronto, in addition to solo and group shows in Halifax, Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal, Chicago and Maine. The birth of her son in 1992 brought with it a renewed interest in children's literature. Since then, she has written and illustrated two picture books and illustrated four others. In 2001, she began a trilogy of novels for 8-12 year olds (The Goodfellow Chronicles) and has recently published 2 novels for Young Adults.
