Biography

Jennifer Mitton has been writing and drawing since she could find her mother's Hilroy Stationey Pad. Then she began pre-school and school, and these were wonderful places for Jennifer. She loved her teachers and they gave her lots and lots of paper to write more stories.

Jennifer has published 3 works of fiction: Fadimatu, Bonjour Minuit, and Sleeping With the Insane. She has teacher materials ready.

Jennifer loves to give presentations to teachers and aspiring authors and illustrators. Her rate is the basic CANSCAIP rate.

Jennifer lives in Vancouver, BC, in a neighbourhood she and her husband Cyprian Libera (also an artist: oil; mainly figurative) and daughter Nell Libera, who at 12 gets delightfully obsessed by books and series.

Performances

For one year now, Jennifer Mitton has been performing StandUP Comedy to raise awareness about mental health issues and to battle the stigma that people with mental illness commonly suffer. We have a lot of fun touring the lower mainland and the island and the Sunshine Coast.

School Visits: as a practising primary teacher with experience teaching high school, I have several presentations ready for the very young to the elder teens.
