Biography

Patricia Quinlan has a B.A., B.Ed. and M.Ed. from the University of Toronto. She currently combines writing stories and giving readings in schools with part-time occasional teaching for the Toronto District Board of Education. She began writing for children in 1985 after taking a course at the Canadian Children's Book Centre. Her first book MY DAD TAKES CARE OF ME was written while taking the course. "Writing for children helps me keep in touch with the child within me" says Patricia. "Children can help to remind us of the things in life that are truly important."
