Biography

Trudee began her publishing career delivering sample Teacher's Guides to Toronto schools as a summer employee. For several years she was an editor of school math, science and language arts textbooks. She was then lured into the world of children's trade publishing and became the book editor for Greey de Pencier/Books from OWL.

The birth of her first child convinced her to go freelance and it was during that time that writing began to supersede editing as her work of choice. She wrote many non-fiction pieces for language arts, science and history textbooks (Nelson, Scholastic, McGraw-Hill Ryerson) and a few trade magazines while writing the first of her non-fiction books.

Trudee lives in Barrie, Ontario, with her husband and three children.
