Biography

Mary was born in Corner Brook, Nfld. and is one of nine children. Mary has spent more than 25 years in the media. She has worked for Maclean’s Magazine (six years), CBC radio (13 years) and The Women’s Television Network.(one season). While at the CBC Mary received the Jeanne Sauve award for Women in Management. She finally found time to write fiction in 1996 when the family moved to Amsterdam for two years. Mary and her family returned to Canada in 1998 and Mary began teaching broadcast journalism at Ryerson University that September. She is married and has two daughters.
