Bio
In June 2022, Carol-Ann Hoyte joined the staff of the Canadian Children's Book Centre as its program and events coordinator. Her prior position was that as a school librarian for nearly 15 years at Selwyn House School (a boys’ private school in Montreal). Carol-Ann also serves on the boards of the national organization, Poetry in Voice, and Montreal’s Geordie Theatre (theatre for young people). She is a published children's poet whose work has been published primarily in Australia and in the U.S. by Pomelo Books. She is the editor of two international poetry collections for children: Dear Tomato: An International Crop of Food and Agriculture Poems (2015) and And the Crowd Goes Wild!: A Global Gathering of Sports Poems (2012). Carol-Ann loves riddle poems, novels in verse for young people, travelling, and theatre, especially musicals. Her favourite composer is the late, great Stephen Sondheim.
