Bio
Lisa Beere is an Ottawa writer creating in the areas of poetry, short stories, children's literature and romance. Her poetry has appeared in Ottawa Poetry Magazine, Crow Pie Literary Journal, Ricky's Back Yard, Meat for Tea: The Valley Review, etc.

Her 1st book "Equal to the Challenge: An Anthology of Women's Experiences During WWII" was published in 2001 under the name Banister.

Lisa enjoys family time at her in-laws' cottage, French cuisine, musical theatre, white water rafting and singing.

Won a city-wide writing contest, rec'd two week internship with acclaimed Author Jake MacDonald

Won a play writing contest and had her work performed at the elementary level

Came in 12th in the Sparta 72 hour Film-making Competition, with "Cindy's Gauntlet" in 2015
