Bio
Maureen Ulrich was born in Saskatoon in 1958, but grew up in Edmonton and Calgary. She has arts and teaching degrees from the University of Saskatchewan, and was a junior high and high school ELA teacher for 23 years. She has made southeastern Saskatchewan her home since 1980. Her first book publication, Power Plays, received critical acclaim and was nominated for 3 Saskatchewan Book Awards. The #jessiemachockeyseries also includes Face Off and Breakaway, all were relaunched by Wood Dragon Books in 2020. Shootout (Book 4 in the #jessiemachockeyseries) and Something's Different: A COVID Journal in Verse were released in 2020. Maureen is working on a brand new YA fantasy series called the Winds of Change. Gabrielle and the Rebels (Book One) was released in 2022. Gabrielle Rouge (Book Two) will be released in the fall of 2023.
