CANSCAIP MEETING Wed. Apr. 12, 2017 

Annual Meeting of Members at 6:00 pm, followed by Osborne Collection tour 

CANSCAIP invites Members and Friends to attend our Annual Meeting of Members, to be held at the Toronto Public Library Lillian H. Smith branch at 239 College, one block east of Spadina. All Members and Friends who attend can vote at the meeting. 

PROXY: If you cannot attend, please appoint a proxy holder to vote for you. The proxy usually appointed is CANSCAIP President Sharon Jennings, but your proxy can be any Member or Friend who has confirmed this with you. Email office@canscaip.org, with PROXY in the subject line, and let us know if Sharon Jennings or someone else will hold your proxy. 

Following the Annual Meeting of Members, there will be a tour of the Osborne Collection. Refreshments, provided by the Friends of the Osborne Collection, will be served.        

Osborne Collection tour  

The world-renowned Osborne Collection of Early Children’s Books is a treasure trove encompassing the development of English children’s literature. The Collection has over 80,000 rare and modern books, book-related art, novelties like movables and miniatures, and ephemera. Leslie McGrath, head of the Osborne Collection, will give us a tour. The current exhibit in the Osborne's gallery is “Worlds and their Stories: Wielders of Wonders”, with books and artwork depicting ancient civilizations. 

ANNOUNCEMENTS BY MEMBERS: There won't be any announcements by members at our April meeting. We look forward to your announcements at our next meeting, on Wednesday, May 10. 

DINNER WITH THE SPEAKER: There won't be a dinner with the speaker in April. 

LOCATION: We will meet  in the auditorium (lower level) at the Lillian H. Smith branch of the Toronto Public Library, 239 College Street, east of Spadina).
