Join CANSCAIP

Founded in 1977, CANSCAIP is a National Arts Service Organization dedicated to the celebration and promotion of Canadian children's authors, illustrators and performers and their work. We provide promotional and networking opportunities to over 400 professional Members and over 600 Friends (associate members) across Canada, making us the largest organization in Canada supporting creative work for children and young adults. Canada's writers, illustrators and performers for young people have achieved great success both here and around the world, and the efforts of CANSCAIP have been important in encouraging that success. Join us to become part of an exciting and creative future.

Members

Friends (Associate Members)

Friend (associate) membership is open to all supporters of children's culture including librarians, teachers, designers, parents, editors and publishers, as well as aspiring children's authors, illustrators and performers.

Each Friend receives:

CANSCAIP News quarterly and CANSCAIP email minutes monthly.
regular meetings in Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and other locations across Canada.
a special Friends section on the website with helpful articles for beginning writers, illustrators and performers.
access to CANSCAIP Regional and Artist Reps who will answer your questions about the world of children's culture.
a chance to have your work critiqued by a CANSCAIP Mentor (for an additional fee).
participation in CANSCAIP's Critique Exchange Forum, exclusive to Members and Friends only.
the ability to post information about events, awards and new creations on the CANSCAIP blog.
the option to join the Writer's Coalition insurance plan.

Individual Friend fee: $45 CDN yearly
