Bio
Uma Krishnaswami was born in India and now lives in Victoria, British Columbia. Her publications include picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, early readers, and more. She has been nominated twice for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. She is faculty emerita, Writing for Children and Young Adults, Vermont College of Fine Arts. Many of her students have gone on to establish successful writing careers.
