Bio
Kari-Lynn Winters is an award-winning children's author, poet, playwright, and academic scholar. Twenty-five of her picture books, non-fiction books, and poetry collections have been accepted for publication. She is also an experienced teacher of writing, who has taught a range of students in Canada and the United States, including pre-school, special education, primary and intermediate, high school, and university teacher education.

Kari-Lynn currently lives in St. Catharines, Ontario with her two children, and three cats--Lynx, Bear, and Minnie. She is Associate Professor at Brock University in the Department of Educational Studies. Her research interests are drama in education, children's literature, and multimodal forms of authorship.
