CANSCAIP DECEMBER MEETING
DATE: Wednesday, December 9, 7:00 p.m.
Please join us for our very special December meeting with speakers to hear, books to buy and desserts to nibble!
TOPIC: Creating Christmas Books
SPEAKERS: Werner Zimmermann illustrated A Porcupine in a Pine Tree, Dashing Through the Snow, Pippin the Christmas Pig, Snow Day and many others. (He’ll have prints from Snow Day for door prizes!) Lisa Dalrymple is the author of the holiday book A Moose Goes a-Mummering, as well as Skink on the Brink and Bubbly Troubly Polar Bear.
DESSERT POTLUCK: A delicious tradition returns: CANSCAIP's December dessert potluck! Please make or buy a yummy sweet treat to share. Coffee supplied. Thanks to CANSCAIPers for the desserts, and to Starbucks for the coffee!
BOOK SALES: Feel free to bring copies of your newest book to sell (3 to 5 is usually enough). Everyone looks after their own sales, so bring loonies and toonies to make change. We suggest rounding prices (e.g., $10.00 instead of $10.95) to make sales easier to tally.
ANNOUNCEMENTS BY MEMBERS: Have a new book? Nominated for an award? Tour or book launch ahead? Ask to be on the agenda to make your announcement at the meeting. Please send office@canscaip the following information:
- Your name
- Book title
- Genre and/or age range
- Short synopsis of your new book (2 or 3 sentences)
- Info on launch, award, tour, if applicable
