CANSCAIP's 40th BIRTHDAY: We'll be celebrating our 40th birthday at this meeting -- there will be cake! We welcome our Toronto-area members to attend in person, and we'll also be live-streaming the event so CANSCAIPers everywhere can be there via their computers! For those attending the meeting via technology, it might be even more fun to gather with other CANSCAIPers in your town to view the live-streaming (you can even ask the speaker questions)--and have some cake too!

SPECIAL GUEST: The perfect pairing of illustrator Michael Martchenko with author Robert Munsch began with The Paper Bag Princess in 1980. A graduate of the Ontario College of Art, Michael had already launched a successful career in advertising. But when the publishers of Annick Press saw Michael’s work at a graphic arts show, they told him that anyone with such a playful imagination should illustrate children’s stories. We are delighted that Michael, a long-time CANSCAIP Member, will be celebrating our 40th birthday with us!

DINNER WITH THE SPEAKER: Everyone is welcome to the pre-meeting dinner with the speaker at 5:00 at The Pickle Barrel (Yonge-Eglinton Centre, 2nd floor). RSVP to Cathy Rondina

TRANSIT & PARKING: From Eglinton station on the Yonge subway line, walk 1 block N on Yonge to Orchard View. The closest parking is Yonge-Eglinton Centre's (expensive) underground lot with an entrance on Orchard View. Green P parking lots are on Erskine, Castlefield and Sherwood.
