MEETING SPEAKERS:  When Vicki GrantMarthe Jocelyn, Kathy Kacer and Teresa Toten  got started, they had no writing degrees, no mentors, no knowledge of the kids publishing business. They plugged away writing stories, taking courses, submitting manuscripts, getting rejections—until finally getting that first contract. In 2021, they started BookFlap.ca to tap the wisdom of writers, illustrators, publishers, editors, readers, and educators through interviews, mini master classes, art demos, podcasts, articles, and more. Find out what BookFlap can do for you!

MEETING FORMAT: The meetings open with remarks by President Sharon Jennings, followed by announcements by Members and Friends, and then presentations by the meeting speakers. During the meeting, attendees can type questions for the speakers into Chat, which will be read aloud by the meeting coordinator.  Everyone is encouraged to linger after the meeting in breakout rooms to talk to each other in smaller groups.
