Writing for Children Competition 2014

$1,500 PRIZE

• Canadian citizens or landed immigrants.

• All writers who have not been published in any format, in any genre and who do not have a contract with a book publisher at any point before the competition winner is announced.

• Non-fiction and fiction from picture book to young adult (YA); up to 1,500 words, English language.

• Not previously published in any format.

• Digital format only, double-spaced, on numbered pages. Submissions accepted as PDF email attachments only.

• Include a  separate cover letter with title of story, full name, address, phone number, e-mail address, number of pages of entry, and whether a submission is fiction or non-fiction.

• Please type the name of entrant and the title of entry on each numbered page. This is not a blind competition.

• Any hard copy manuscripts received will not be eligible or returned.
