TOPIC: Getting on Board with Top Grade Top Grade is a marketing initiative of the Association of Canadian Publishers, targeting key educators responsible for purchasing books for school boards and school libraries across Canada. Most of Canada's children’s book publishers participate, including Annick Press, Fitzhenry & Whiteside, Groundwood Books, Kids Can Press, Orca Book Publishers, Pajama Press, and Second Story Press. Find out about this terrific and successful program for Canadian kids books.
SPEAKER: Catherine Mitchell has worked in children’s publishing for most of her career. As well as consulting for the Top Grade program, Catherine manages rights sales for Pajama Press.
LOCATION: Our monthly meetings are at Toronto Public Library Northern District Branch, 40 Orchard View Blvd. (1 block north of Eglinton, west side of Yonge) in Room 224 (2nd floor).
REFRESHMENTS: Coffee and cookies will be served at the meeting. Thanks to Starbucks for the coffee!
TRANSIT: TPL Northern District Branch is 1 block north of the Eglinton subway stop on the Yonge line.
PARKING: The closest Green P parking lot is on 75 Holly Street (1 block east of Yonge, south of Eglinton). There are other Green P lots on Erskine, Castlefield and Sherwood, 3 to 5 blocks north of Eglinton. The Yonge-Eglinton Centre has underground parking, with an entrance on Orchard View Blvd.
