St. Albert Public Library presents award-winning and popular author Kenneth Oppel, September 26, 7pm at the Arden Theatre. http://www.kennethoppel.ca 

Oppel is one of the most popular Canadian writers of the day, appealing to children, teens and adults alike. His books include the Silverwing trilogy, which has sold over a million copies around the world, and Airborn, winner of the 2004 Governor General's Award for children's literature, and the Michael L. Printz Honor Book award from the American Library Association. His current series The Apprenticeship of Victor Frankenstein gave usThis Dark Endeavour in 2011, which was shortlisted for the Canadian Library Association's Book of the Year and is being made into a movie by the producer of Twilight. The sequel Such Wicked Intent was published this year, and Oppel will be reading excerpts during his appearance at the Arden. This is going to be an event not to be missed!
