Bio
Cheryl Rainfield is the author of the award-winning SCARS, a novel about Kendra, a queer teen who's a sexual abuse survivor and who uses self-harm to cope; HUNTED, a novel about Caitlyn, a teen telepath in a world where paranormal powers are illegal; and two hi-lo fantasies: Dragon Speaker: The Last Dragon and SkinWalkers: Walking Both Sides. Cheryl is an incest and ritual abuse survivor, feminist, and queer, and an avid book reader and book lover. She both writes and creates art. Cheryl lives in Toronto with her little dog, Petal.

Scars is a Governor General Literary Award Finalist. It has also received many glowing reviews, included a starred review from School Library Journal.
